Questions

I thought if would be neat to pose a few thought provoking questions for us to ponder or comment on. If you do wish to comment, try to listen to your inner voice and answer with your first response before reading other's comments. It may be necessary to do it during a quiet time in your day, when you first wake up or an hour or so after the kids are down for the night, which is what I will do. Also, if you wouldn't mind sharing your age, (in this body only - okay) that would be super cool too!
Here goes...

What is the most difficult thing in your life for which you are grateful for?

What would happen if men and women began to speak the same language?

Why must you love someone enough to let them go?

If you could ask God one question, what would it be?

It can be difficult to share concerns with those we respect and care about or even those we don't know that well. Why is it so hard for people to make connections, and in the process gain insights?

Zac Sunderland

I'm so excited for this young man, what an inspiration for our youth. I'd much rather my children be influenced by this kid and others like him rather than the Lindsey Lohan's of the world. I hope he has a safe and pleasant journey! Many Blessings...

31,000 Scientists reject "global warming" agenda

Okay, I discontinued my involvement in activism when I left the S.F. Bay Area. I was a non-partisan polital activist, dedicated to protecting the environment. Is it the environment that needs protecting or is it us? The bottom line...I feel that it is important to know the truth! I'm not sure exactly what that is...yet.
My DH sent this link to me and I've been thinking about it lately, what if it is a hoax? If it is certainly quite costly, ya think?

I'm curious as to what we will be hearing 10 years from now...

Andersen Dairy Tour & Lied Discovery Museum

Deanna and her lovely daughter Courtney accompanied my tribe to both the Andersen dairy tour and a trip to the Lied Discovery Museum.
I was quite amazed by the number of "homeschoolers" at the Dairy tour, it was quite stuffy but the tour itself was very interesting. I was hoping to see a real cow but apparently, all the milking is done at a farm in UT, the milk is then transported by a big, refrigerated tank to the processing plant here in town. Literally within hours. The facility was immaculate, extremely clean! The talking animals were a little cheesy but the cookies and cream ice cream at the end was a nice treat.
Deanna held Sedona in the carrier and I carried Tater (Spencer) in mine, the boy is a tank! All the kids behaved pretty well, no melt downs or anything. They all really enjoyed the museum and all the cool experiments and hands on adventures. I think D & C will be joining us again - Courtney is Logan's "new" girlfriend - I've been replaced!

Bev & the Girls

It was good to see and spend a little time with our girls Maga, Dannie and Mama B. The kids love them to pieces. Logan's energy is endless with Ms. Maga. I hope you girls can make it out this summer!

I Love California

There's only one place that can move me to tears or that creates a longing, yearning sensation in my soul. It was my home from birth to age 29. - that place is the San Francisco Bay Area. When talking conservation or environmentmental protection, my husband will say "you can take the girl out of CA, but you can't take CA outa the girl, he's got that right. Here, my mom and I had the chance to share some special places with the kids. Capitola, SC Lighthouse, Mission Peak...next trip there will be many more!!

Happy Anniversary

We celebrated 14 years of marriage. Our anniversary is May 7. We went to dinner on the Las Vegas Strip at Dos Caminos and then went to see the Jersey Boys at the Venetian Hotel. Oh yeah, we live here. The show was fantastic, I highly recommend seeing it if in the Vegas area.

Bay Area Visit

It was 2 years (at cousin Shelley's wedding) since I last saw Aunt Dolores and Uncle Eddie. The kids, my mom and I really had a great time visiting, catching the latest 411 and reflecting on "old times". My Aunt makes a mean chile verde and wonderful lemon bars. Damn, I'm still working off those things...Uncle Ed is so cute in his '58 Vette, can you say "chick-magnet?" I can't wait to come visit again!
The house looks amazing, Aunt D could really go into Interior Decorating if she wanted, she's super creative. The backyard was beautiful, all the flowers in bloom were just brilliant. The kids seemed to think so too.

Hiking Las Vegas

I found a great website that names and explains a variety of hikes in the Las Vegas area. Lots of places to explore, woo-hoo!
